Samsung is said to be working with Google and AMD to develop a new chipset for S series smartphones.
According to Gadget360 , a leaked source said that Samsung Electronics has extended its partnership with Google to bring a new chipset to its upcoming flagship smartphones. This could make Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets even more powerful in the future.
Insider informant Connor has posted information about a chipset that Samsung is working with Google's Tensor division and AMD Radeon. According to people familiar with the matter, the upcoming chip could be "the most stable and powerful computing process on a Galaxy phone".
Connor also shared an image of the chipset and pointed out that the AMD GPU will be responsible for handling graphics-intensive tasks. However, it is still too early to tell if the new chipset can beat the Apple Bionic or other chips made by TSMC.
Revealed about the new chipset being co-produced by Samsung, Google and AMD.
It is known that Samsung is working with Google's Tensor team and AMD's graphics team. Previously, the Korean smartphone maker and Google worked together to produce Tensor and Tensor G2 chipsets on Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 series smartphones.
These chipsets have many advanced AI features from the Google team to deliver faster performance for tasks related to machine learning and artificial intelligence.
In addition, both companies are said to be working on a third-generation Google Tensor chip, for the Pixel 8 series phones expected to launch next year. The chip is codenamed "Zuma" and can power both the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.
